My video will be a soundscape utilizing a heavily altered soundtrack interacting with video imagery of highly contrasted streetlights. The lights will be filmed at night and will appear to be surrounded entirely by blackness.

Influenced from the Bill Viola pieces , I would like to create a landscape piece using the snow and open land with distorted sounds and effects to create a surrealist nature filled environment fit for surround sound video.

I am taking a more practical approach to this project. I am creating a conversation between two people, but the only image guiding the viewer is the mouth of one of the people. The way in which the voices are panned in surround sound will better detail how the conversation is taking place.

**As for problems, I am working on a PC based platform and am using different software for this project (Adobe Audition), which I just learned this week...and since I don't have a surround sound system in my apt., I won't know if it works till class. WOO!

I make a video "Ghost Amusement Park" which is about I sneak around uninhabited Amusement park. Then I will combine ambient sounds I collected and the video.

It will be 2 minutes and 50 seconds sort of documentary video image.

my video is called dynamic influence c with 10 different variations. i created a 1 minute long audio soundtrack based on sounds i captured from ringing metal. then i gathered 2 dancers together to improvise movement to those sounds. each repetition of the variation increases in speed. this piece is just about 7 minutes. this is inspired by cultural movements and cycles.

I am remaking the surround sound project from last semester. I live on Easton Ave and have recorded various sounds from the street. This time I will distort the sounds and the video as well.

With this project I hope to create a feeling of confusion, where the visual will show only one person on a frozen lake, while the audio will suggest that this person is not alone.
The lake has so many nuances, and it literally makes sounds as if speaking to you as you ice skate on it. I hope that my sound will personify the lake and the person's surroundings, rather than simply implying that there are other people outside of the shot.

Unfortunately, not all of the sounds of the ice came out well on my recording, but I'm manipulating the audio so as to exaggerate the sounds I could capture.

I got a problem ....Ohio sucks ...considering I could not quite find the landscape shots I was looking for (OHIO sucking for that) I'm changing my visual around to more of a distorted motion piece with natural ambient snow sounds to incorporate the motion.

I am interested in the assembly of music subculture, its construction, and subsequent sound. To create the idea of music I will execute a type of problem solving where I search to find tools of communication to create (sub)cultural symbols. Organizing and assembling these tools will create symbols that portray illusions of their original meanings. These symbols construct a sense of identity, serving to validate their recognizability and meaning. The project is an assemblage called Folk Metal and will touch on folk, metal, and, performance art, and possibly result in becoming a concept band in the future.

My piece studies the nature of junk email and those that get caught in
its deceptive quality. Junk mail is removed from its normal format of
screen and paper and is applied to the "physical world" through
vocalization, noise, and movement. This piece presents the persistence
and obnoxious chaos of junk email, while showing that its ultimate
resolution is nothing. A simple answer that is ignored by computer
users who are left in the dark while trying to pursue it.

This is Cory by the way. I'm taking the concept of growng up into our worst fears, when, as kids, we had big dreams of being something amazing. Surround sound, silent video, narration. Rated R for extreme drug-use- and partial nudity.

the priest almost has evil characteristics wich comes out in his tireless nonsensical rant. he speaks in an almost hypnotical fashion wiht hints of ominosity. the second half is somewhat different in that i show that there is beauty in religion which is demonstrated by the little boy holding his head in sorrow at the end.
